Num.
15:30 But those who brazenly violate the
LORD’S will, whether native Israelites or foreigners, blaspheme the LORD, and
they must be completely cut off and suffer the consequences of their guilt.
Defiance is never a good thing. The Lord
clearly reveals His will to us. He wills that first of all everyone will be
saved. And secondly that those who are saved will be holy. God’s will is for
everyone, He does impose specific duties on His people that are unique to them
as well.
When we deliberately defy God and refuse
to do His will for us, there are certain consequences that we will have to
face. To defy God is to live without God. And a life without God is a life
without hope. It is blasphemy to know God’s will and refuse to do it. Defiance
breeds arrogance and pride and it is always sin.
