We live in a
wonderful time. We can go directly to
God and talk to Him. When Jesus died on
the cross, He broke down the barrier that separated unholy man from our holy
God. He gave us access to God through
His shed blood. We do not need to be
afraid to approach God. In fact, God
encourages us to do so. Time and time
again the Lord says to come to Him, to cast all our cares on Him, to linger
with Him and have fellowship with Him.
Jesus promises that
if we approach our Father in heaven through Him our prayers will be
answered. It is true because when we are
in Jesus our hearts will be right with God.
We will want what He wants for us.
We will not be driven by selfish desires. We will be one with Him in love and therefore
what we ask for will not be contrary to His will for us.
We deprive ourselves
of so much that the Lord wants to give us and do for us because we don’t
ask. Ask for anything in and through
Christ and our Father will grant it for us.
The Lord will always work in us to make our hearts joyful. It is His desire to help us live with an
abundance of joy. In order to do that,
He will sometimes have to change us so that we are lined up with His will for
us because His will is always what is best for us.
Jesus makes it
possible for us to go directly to our Father in heaven and ask Him for anything
in His name. He will not disappoint
us. Anything asked for within the will
of God for us will be given to us.
