Trying to
say that sin is not sin is futile just like trying to say truth is not truth is
futile. Saying doesn’t change it. God has declared it is so and so it is. What
God says is absolute. There is no discussion or debate. We may not understand
it, but it doesn’t change the fact that it is the way it is. We may convince
ourselves that we know what God knows to be true, but when it comes down to it,
only God knows the whole truth and how it all fits together. There is no
misinformation given. Everything God has revealed to us makes sense and someday
we will see the sense of it all. Until then, we trust Him.
We mess
with God’s truth at our own risk. All who deny the truth and seek to live by
other rules face a godless eternity in hell. Confusion plagues those who will
not believe God. They have no clue as to who they are, why they are here, where
they are going, and what life is all about. They walk in the darkness of their
befuddled minds and live without hope and meaning.
Know
that what God says is absolute truth from beginning to end. It is not up to us
to decide whether or not it’s all truth or not. Any attempt to pick and choose
from God’s Word what we want to believe is utter foolishness and sin. Apply to
your life all that you know and can. What you don’t know, rest in the knowledge
that it is true because God says it is so. Someday you will get it. Until then
live by faith.
