Ruth 2:4 While
she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters. “The LORD be with you!” he said. “The LORD bless you!” the harvesters
replied.
Boaz was
a landowner in Israel who was highly respected amongst the locals. He was a man of integrity and treated people
well. He was known for his
trustworthiness and integrity of heart.
Daily when he went out to meet the harvesters in his fields, he would
greet them with the Lord’s blessings on their day.
It causes
me to wonder how others think of me. Am
I known and respected for my devotion to the Lord and the way I treat
others? As children of God, we should be
recognized by those who know us as people who can be trusted to be fair and
respectful to all. Others should know us
by our integrity and devotion to the Lord.
In order for us to have a good standing in our churches and communities,
we must first of all be totally committed to the Lord. We must seek Him daily in our lives and spend
time alone in fellowship with Him as often as we can.
We must
make our relationship with the Lord our first priority and then we will
naturally be the kind of people who reflect His righteousness and goodness in
all we do.
