HOLD ON TIGHT

Heb. 10:23 Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. NLT

Without wavering can be difficult at times. We are very susceptible to the happenings of life as they happen. When things are going bad, we get caught up in them and begin to have doubts about the goodness and faithfulness of God. We are prone to wonder about God who claims to love us and always have our good in mind as He works in our lives. If we are not careful, we begin to question whether or not God can be trusted to keep His promises to us. If we are not careful, we might even wander away from Him.

Without wavering can only be accomplished by holding on tightly to God at all times. When things are going our way we have a tendency to put faith on the back burner. We tend not to keep our faith fresh. We tend to neglect the feeding of our souls. Wise is he who understands the need to keep the Lord before all things in life at all times. The more we cling to the Lord in the good times, the better we will be able to cling to Him in the bad times. The good times of life are a training ground for the bad times.

It is imperative for the well-being of our souls that we never stop growing in grace. We must be fully committed to the process of growth. We must become knowledgeable about the goodness of God and His trustworthiness. We must know from the depths of our hearts that the Lord is capable of keeping us secure in Him regardless of the storms of life. We must know that He is faithful and will see us home if we but trust Him.

The Lord is true to His promise to see you home. He will never leave you or forsake you. He who is in Christ will be with Christ for all of eternity. Never let go of this wonderful truth.
