Is God greater than your problems?

II Sam. 22:30  In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.

How much confidence do you have in God’s ability to help you overcome the things in your life that hinder you or endanger you? Think about it for a few moments. What stands in your way from you becoming the person you want to be before God? What are your struggles with sin that you just can’t seem to conquer? What keeps you from growing and becoming a mighty warrior in God’s army?  God declares that we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength to do them.  All things include all of your sinful struggles.  It includes all the circumstances of life that overwhelm you.  It includes all those who would oppose you because of your faith. 

Do you believe that God is greater than your problems or obstacles? Do you believe that He has the power to defeat your strongest enemy? Is He able to strengthen you to the point where you can overcome anything that stands in your way?

You say He is, but do you live like it? Are you letting Him help you be an overcomer or do things overcome you and hold you down? It’s one thing to believe that God is able, and it’s a totally different story to trust Him and let Him help you overcome. We have no one to blame for our spiritual defeats but ourselves. We can’t even blame them on Satan. If we live defeated lives it’s because we let Satan defeat us. There is nothing Satan or anyone else can do to overpower or overcome us when we let the Lord be our strength and deliverer.

Don’t say the Lord is able to help you and then not let Him do it. He wants to help you crush the enemy of your soul. He wants to help you scale your most formidable wall. All you have to do is ask Him and He will help you. Will you ask Him today?
